greenlineprods@yahoo.com BioWelcome to Winterland, the spin off journal to "Gabi's Adventures in LA." I was a production assistant, production secretary, box office representative, temp worker, writer, and intern in Los Angeles for five years, until I finally snapped and got on a midnight train to Chicago. OK, fine, it's a car, and I'll probably leave in the middle of the day. But you get the idea.
I spent five years basking in oppressive sunshine, rollerblading and swimming in January, surviving earthquakes and firestorms, and driving down the palm-tree lined streets of Beverly Hills.
Now I seek greener pastures in the Midwest, where the weather is gray, the residents think that a sandbox near the shore of Lake Michigan counts as a beach, February temperatures reach lows of -20, and finding a parking spot depends on whether or not the Cubs are playing at home.
I can't wait.
